I'm currently trying to finish We need to talk about Kevin politics of current events in America aside it's a fascinating angle on a sadly familiar stoy
hard to see any ending that makes sense 2/3rds through.

Killing Lincoln...O'Reilly ditto on American history, lol. The book is always better even if it was Tony Scott's last movie which is coming out soon. So sad about him, great director..just disappeared then jumped off the bridge. Movie about him probably coming out soon... I think I'll read that book first too, lol.

OH OH OH...(hands raised up high jumping up and down) ...pick Me, pick me...I have a book I'm really excited about getting into.. "America the Beautiful" by Dr. Benjamin Carson- written by a clever storyteller, black neurosurgeon who does alot of public speaking about the fall of America, the importance of education and financial responsibility..and does it all through really great choice of words and emotion..I've heard him speak, most recently at a fundraiser with Obama where he took the opportunity to make his political views known. A wise man can argue without offending, and he did a fantastic job.. Here is his book on Amazon: www.amazon.com/America-Beautiful-Rediscovering-Nation-Great/dp/0310330718ps I wasn't AT the fundraiser..the video is circling round youtube, lol Just had to share... HUGS, Julie

I am reading a book called Toby's Room by Pat Barker. Its set in post war times, the story is about a brother and sister who are inseparable, way too inseparable, they belong to a family full of old buried secrets. Elinor, Toby's Sister attends the Slade school for Art where she meets the pioneering facial surgeon Henry Tonks, who spends his time teaching art and reconstructing soldiers faces after they had been in battle. Part drama, and part true history, which is interesting. And a nice easy flowing read. Thank goodness, with the way my brain is like mush at times, hehelol.

Jbird...WOW Your son's book? That is just wonderful..I like the way he describes nature around him. What a sweet look at the world.. And I don't know if this belongs here..but I just started doing braingames and memory puzzles, etc at lumosity.com., it is great fun and really helping with my memory problems. It was a big step for me to do it, it meant realizing I do indeed have some slowing brain issues to match the abnormal EEG.. I highly recommend it.. Love Julie

Here's a cute book to share with you! Idk if you know who Greg Gutman is; he has a show on Fox called "Red Eye" and is a regular member on another Fox show called "The Five". He wrote a book (attached) called "The Joy of Hate". He is a really KOOL witty, charming and hilarious guy..he's really out there...but that's the fun of it... Hope you like it, Love Julie ps I couldn't figure out how to upload or attach it yet...lol so contact me and I'll email it to you for now until I figure this out

Hi Julie, I have had a look at the Luminosity, it looks great fun. And very good for the brain like you say. I am always doing crosswords and puzzles, to keep my brain exercised. I have one of those Nintendo DS's. Dave got it for me a few years back as a birthday present. Now i use all sorts to do puzzles with.
I also looked at the Greg Gutman thing you sent to look at, it does look good. I will be downloading it soon. Thank you for your recommendations. Ask my Chewie what to do, as i am a dunce as far as these things go with uploading, downloading etc here. I am okay once i have learnt something. Thanks again Julie.xoxox
